Kitchen Delights (petits plaisirs pour la cuisine)
Kitchen Delights
Maggie has just written a post about me on her blog, Kitchen Delights!(4th september). I am so thrilled about it!
That is how it all started: a few years ago, while I was reading an English classic, I think it was Thomas Hardy but I am not sure, I came across a word I did not know " Sussex Pond Pudding". I knew it was some kind of dessert and I checked on the internet out of curiosity. I kept the link that came with the recipe.

Later on,when I started my blog, I realized there was a person behind that recipe and I left a comment explaining the story. Maggie answered me and we started exchanging mails once in a while. She was worried about her son who was about to leave to travel in Australia for a year. Mine had just been back from a gap year in Australia too. I also told her that I had taught English for a year in England.
One of her recipes "Easy Chicken Curry" has become one of my favourites, I like doing it when I have company. On the same page "Smoked Paprika Chicken Ciabatta and Cheese Coleslaw" would convince any French native to have sandwiches at home.

Last week, as she was preparing a post about my blog (how exciting that is, thanks Maggie!) she told me about her daughter who teaches music and is the head of the music department in a school in South London. This happens to be the school I taught at so many years ago when I had just turned twenty! What a coincidence! I even sent her a photo of the letter I got from the headteacher then, to make sure she believed me hihi!
It's a small world!
By the way, her son is fine and happy, thank you!
I received plenty of presents from Mouchette of Perle de Lune. She sent me beautiful things, mostly red, that match my kitchen. I was not prepared for that at all. And honestly, I don't think I deserve it.
Soap, little napkins, a little coffee cup, an exercise book and hearts...
One of which is already hanging from my computer room window knob, and an English tin box, it seems to have been here for ever.
