One day during the holidays

Comment occuper une journée de vacances?

Pas de problème, j'ai un livre en cours et une amie m'a apporté une pile de magazines. Elle part à l'étranger quelques années et pense qu'ils m'occuperont jusqu'à son retour... pfff, en une journée, j'aurai tout regardé...

What to do during the holidays?

No problem, I am in the middle of reading a book and a friend had brought me a pile of magazines. She is going abroad for a few years and she thinks they'll keep me busy until she returns... pfff, they won't last more than one day...

Mais avant cela, je dois ranger un nouveau lot d'assiettes Lesieur, trouvé l'autre jour chez les compagnons, j'en ai maintenant neuf, de quoi organiser un grand dîner entre amis ou un déjeuner en famille.

But before that, I need to put away the Lesieur plates (Lesieur is a famous brand of oil and they used to give those plates as presents in the old days) I found them the other day at a goodwill shop. I have nine now, enough to organize a big dinner with friends or a lunch with my family.

Elles sont formidablement pratiques, en plus d'être très jolies, elle vont avec tout.

Il faut que je les prenne en photo pour vous montrer...

Voilà, c'est fait: elles peuvent faire chic (à gauche) ou gai, décontracté, été, jardin, soleil, anniversaire (à

droite). Je vous épargne Halloween et Noël, pour l'instant, mais je peux faire aussi.

Those plates are so convenient, they look nice and they go with everything.

I have to take photos to show you...

That's done: they can look chic (on the left hand side) or they can look merry, cool, relaxed, they can look nice in the summer, in the garden, in the sun, for a birthday party (on the right hand side). I won't mention Halloween and Christmas for the moment but I could do that too.

Je dois ranger quelques nouveaux moules qui complètent ma collection.

I have to put away some new molds and tart pans, I have quite a few of them.

Ensuite, je dois préparer des petits moelleux au chocolat car ma soeur et son mari vont passer, ils vont déposer leur fils, ainsi les cousins vont passer une semaine de vacances ensemble.

Then, I have to bake some chocolate muffins because my sister and her husband are going to stop by. They are dropping their son, so that the cousins can spend a whole week together.

Je prends quelques photos pour vous montrer la fabrication et le résultat.

I am just taking a few snapshots to show you the process of making them and the result.

Et voilà, il n'y a plus qu'à dresser la table, prendre à nouveau des photos, les mettre sur l'ordinateur et faire ce

billet.

Voilà! Now, I only have to set the table, take a few more photos, put them on the computer and write this post.

Ils arrivent, je vous laisse...

20h: je dois préparer le dîner... je regarderai les magazines... euh... demain... si j'ai le temps...

They're coming, I have to let you go...

8pm: I have to prepare dinner.. I'll look at the magazines... well... tomorrow... if I have the time

"I capture the castle " !!! one of my favourite books , I hope you enjoyed reading it ? And of course, I don't think the pile of magazines will keep you going until your friend comes back ! I bet you've already read them all !
I recognize the little Lesueur flower plates. My mum used to have the same ones so they are a familiar sight. I think they look nice with your other plates. And your chocolate cakes definitely look yummy !

Alors de mes vacances j'ai ramené 12 assiettes à dessert, et 6 assiettes plates ! J'espère en trouver encore six autres !!! Très appétissants tes moelleux au chocolat !
