Because two British friends happened to be here (one of them from Mexico and the other one from Marocco)
and because it was the Diamond Jubilee

...une petite fête s'imposait.
... there was no other option but have a little party.
Dès l'apéritif, le ton était donné.
Fun was in the air, right from the start..
Une main experte a ouvert le Champagne
An expert hand uncorked the bottle of Champagne.
When we reached dessert, one of them whispered to my ear "It is my birthday today but don't tell anybody"
Two seconds later, everybody knew it (morality: be very cautious when you tell somebody a secret).
It is quite easy to turn a simple raspberry tiramisu into a birthday tiramisu, isn't it?
Coffee and Maroccan pastries came at the end of a marvellous day that went by too fast...
Vivement la prochaine fois.
et
Vive la Reine!
Let's do it again soon
and
Long Live the Queen!
